Rise of the Samurai Campaign: its integrated into Shogun 2, and is not playable without it. How you experience and enjoy (or not enjoy) Total War is dependent on you and how you look at the game.Ī couple opinions regarding the person who posted just before me. If you have played any of the previous Total War games, please tell us which ones and we can better help you out based on the gameplay experience you have actually had. Many of us on these forums (myself included) have tons of fun with the modern weapons and units in Fall of the Samurai (as well as the predecessors ETW and NTW), while others see musket warfare as too boring and not fun. In terms of more fun, again, that really all depends on your own views. This means there are multiple consecutive winter turns in which attrition takes effect This means that one turn in Shogun 2 equals the same amount of game time as 6 turns in Fall of the Samurai. In Fall of the Samurai, each turn represents two weeks, or half a month. This applies to your unit in enemy territory during winter they suffer casualties due to disease, desertion, and starvation as a result of winter weather in terms of gameplay, the big effect is attrition during the winter. This means there is a winter, spring, summer, and autumn turn. In Shogun 2 and Rise of the Samurai, each turn represents 3 months, or one season. One thing worth noting is the turn rates in campaign: There are those out there who see the lack of much uniqueness between clans as repetitiveness, I see it as more open options for replayablity, especially since each clan has a unique starting point on the map. In terms of which one lasts longer, it depends on how you look at and play the game. all content is accessed within the same game. However, both are integrated into the same thing, whether you have shogun 2, FOTS or both, they will be listed in steam as "Total War: Shogun 2". If you like muskets and cannons, go for Fall of the Samurai. (even though there are some matchlock muskets) If you like swords, spears and bows, go for Shogun 2. ![]() Which one is better actually depends on your interests. Which you think is better, last longer and more fun to play? I would like to buy one of the above games, i'm new to Shogun, so i would like to hear your opinions!! 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.846 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.Continued abuse of our services will cause your IP address to be blocked indefinitely.
